  • About

Notts County Foundation is a multi-award-winning independent sports charity based at Meadow Lane – the home of Notts County Football Club. The charity is committed to providing high-quality, accessible, and lifechanging development opportunities that positively impact people’s health, confidence and skills, behaviours, and levels of enjoyment within the local community.

The ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has exacerbated the need for mental health provision for men, women, young adults, and children. Now, more so than ever before, there is an increased need to provide high-quality and lifechanging provision for individuals within the local community, and this winter, we are urging you to help us help others. All of our mental health programmes are free to access, with each session providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment for participants to share and manage their problems in a healthy, constructive manner.

Right Mind

Right Mind is a women's mental health programme that aims to improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of participants through increased levels of physical activity and educational workshops.

The free six-month programme helps to build confidence and self-esteem in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. Previous participants have reported higher levels of happiness, resilience, life satisfaction, and social skills.

On The Ball

On The Ball is a men's mental health programme that aims to use the power of fooball to promote positive mental health messages, educate participants about their thoughts and feelings, and development fundamental life skills.

The award-winning programme provides a safe space for men to discuss emotions and mental health conditions, such as anger, stress, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with a focus on educating participants on how they can manage and express their feelings in a positive way.

Goals For Life

Goals For Life is a children and young people's mental health programme aimed at individuals aged 11-18-years-old. Funded by Children in Need, the free 10-week programme combines physical activity, peer-to-peer support, and educational workshops to improve the confidence, self-esteem, positive empowerment of participants.

The project is delivered in a number of different environments, including schools, youth clubs, and alongside local mental health services. Our person-centred approach allows us to focus on each individual's bespoke requirements, with the ineractive workshop sessions being co-produced and led by participants' needs and wants.
